A work-in-progress belated birthday gift to :iconbellacielo:.

In honor of her ventures into new and exciting art mediums during 2009, I opted to draw this picture entirely in raster-based GIMP [the exception being the preconcept sketch which was still drawn in Inkscape, but since it was also done freehand it looks too dreadful to post). ^^;

Suffice to say, since it's been almost 6 years since I've used a raster-based program for 100% of an illustration, to say I'm "rusty" is an understatement. ^^;

Not saying whos who and what's what, since most of the fun of this drawing is making Bella & Co. answer that themselves. :P

Currently this picture is 30% complete.

This is, I daresay, even more adorable than your usual works...something is just a bit more click-prone within me when it comes to raster, I guess. -w-

Waaah! So that means all my years of doing vector artwork were in vain, cause Nejin-dono loves my crappy raster work.... ;^0^;

*bawls eyes out*

Well granted it has its fun and I was reminded of my adventurous Photoshopping days at first....

But sooner rather than later, I started seriously missing my Inkscape,... I just love doing my drawings Lego-style. I think now I know for sure that is my destiny.... ^_________^

[that, or maybe 3D graphics too...]
